The issue
Where the world's CO₂ comes from
Energy, infrastructure, and heavy industry make modern life possible—but they also emit 40 billion tonnes of CO₂ every year.We don't have to choose between preserving our way of life and protecting our future. Carbon capture removes emissions at the source, allowing modern civilization to thrive sustainably.
Burning fossil fuels
Coal, oil and natural gas used for electricity, heating and transportation are the largest source.
Industry
Cement, steel and chemical production generate substantial emissions.
Deforestation
Cutting or burning forests releases stored carbon and reduces the Earth's ability to absorb CO₂.
The impact on our environment
Global warming
CO₂ traps heat in the atmosphere, raising global temperatures.
Extreme weather
Higher risk of heatwaves, droughts, heavy rainfall and wildfires.
Rising sea levels
Melting ice and warming oceans threaten coastal communities.
Ocean damage
CO₂ makes oceans more acidic, harming coral reefs and marine life.
Ecosystem damage
Changing temperature and rainfall threaten wildlife, forests and food production.
A potential solution
How carbon capture helps
Carbon capture removes CO₂ before it enters the atmosphere, or removes it directly from the air. By turning trapped carbon into rock underground or building blocks for sustainable products, we secure the essential services of modern life without warming our world.

The benefits
Slows global warming by reducing the CO₂ building up in the atmosphere.
Helps hard-to-decarbonize industries like cement and steel.
Can remove historical emissions when CO₂ is taken from the air and permanently stored.
The challenges
It can be expensive and requires substantial energy.
Storage sites must be carefully managed to prevent leaks.
It cannot yet capture enough CO₂ to solve climate change on its own.
To make carbon capture viable, we need to reduce its cost, use less energy, and safely store large amounts of CO₂.
What we do
Our mission
We exist to accelerate the development and deployment of carbon capture technologies that reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere and help combat climate change.
Through fundraising, public awareness, and support for innovative research, we aim to make carbon capture more efficient, affordable, and accessible on a global scale.
Every contribution helps advance solutions that capture CO₂ emissions, remove existing carbon from the atmosphere, and support a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.
